Offering guests new ways to explore the scenic villages of Payangan, Anantara Ubud Bali Resort launches the Payangan Sidecar Journey, taking guests through the beauty of the Payangan landscape, culture, and community on a classic sidecar.
From lush rice terraces to traditional family compounds, Anantara’s philosophy is reflected in the Payangan Sidecar Journey that connects guests with the local people, culture, and nature that make every destination on the journey unique.
More than just sightseeing, guests have the opportunity to learn about the traditions and experience the hospitality of Payangan communities. For 30 to 45 minutes, guests cruise along the country roads at a relaxed pace to the villages of Bukian, Puhu, and Kebek, guided by a local host well-versed in the area.
An extended experience is also available for those who wish to carry on the countryside adventure that culminates in a three-course picnic surrounded by a private rice field and traditional Balinese family compound in Begawan Village. Relish a selection of dishes, including Sate Maranggi, tamarind-marinated beef ribeye skewers, Bebek Goreng Sambal Madura, crispy duck leg with sambal kluwek, and perfected with a choice of desserts and refreshing beverages.
To enjoy the most inviting hours of the day, it is recommended to start the adventure between 8 AM and 10 AM, or from 3.30 PM, with the last departure at 4 PM. The experience is suitable for adults, couples, and families with children aged five years and above.
As the Payangan Sidecar journey is a thoughtfully curated experience, a maximum of two guests are accommodated per departure to ensure an intimate journey. The Payangan Sidecar Journey is priced at IDR 1,750,000 (private single) and IDR 2,450,000 (private couple). Meanwhile, the Payangan Sidecar Journey with Picnic is priced at IDR 2,850,000 (private single) and IDR 4,750,000 (private couple).
