Amenangi’s Solo Recital with the Amabile Chamber Orchestra
Bali’s rising young pianist Amenangi Sadali Nitisara Wawo Runtu (age 11) makes his solo debut this August, accompanied by the Amabile Chamber Orchestra. Let’s Swing presents a joyful yet profound programme of works by Bach, Beethoven, Rameau, Brahms and more — classical music performed with youthful energy and fresh perspective.
Amenangi, born in Denpasar in 2013, began piano at age six, trained under classical pianist Justina Tjandra at Amabile Studio, and later mentored in jazz by Nita Aartsen. With a background in both classical and jazz, his recital showcases passion, discipline, and creativity, marking an exciting milestone in Bali’s musical landscape. Whether in the structure of a sonata or the spontaneity of a jam, each performance is a sincere offering—shaped by hours of daily practice, deep listening, and quiet wonder.
Organised by the Tandjung Sari Foundation, Sanur, the performance highlights the foundation’s evolving mission: from preserving Balinese Legong dance to nurturing new generations of Indonesian talent across the arts. Let’s Swing is their first venture into classical and jazz piano, spotlighting Amenangi’s remarkable debut.
