Row for R.O.L.E 5.0

25 April 2026 - 25 April 2026
Sanur to Nusa Dua

Taking place on Saturday, 25 April 2026, Row for R.O.L.E 5.0 is a community initiative raising funds for Bali’s long-established ROLE Foundation. Sports lovers are invited to join an epic canoe or stand-up paddle race from Sanur to Nusa Dua, journeying around Bali’s coastline for a good cause.

Now in its fifth year, more and more participants are eager to join this one-of-a-kind challenge, which involves a 13km paddle across the blue seas, travelling from Hyatt Regency Bali in Sanur to Grand Hyatt Bali, Nusa Dua. There is a range of race divisions, including single canoeing, doubles canoeing, ‘XL’ solo canoe and stand-up paddle. Participants will be provided with their canoes, and receive race packs including a sports bottle, snacks, an official t-shirt and more. The race concludes with a group brunch and awarding ceremony at Grand Hyatt Bali.

Of course, this is a fundraising event, and participants will be challenged to also raise community sponsorship, with proceeds going to ROLE Foundation. Standing for Rivers, Oceans, Lands and Ecology, ROLE works to develop sustainable practices and solutions through their Zero Waste to Oceans Center in Nusa Dua. They also run a women’s empowerment program, BaliWISE, which focuses on providing marginalised women in Bali with practical skills and knowledge to improve their employability and help them enter the formal job market. This year’s Row for ROLE event hopes to raise funds for 100 young women through the BaliWISE Program in 2026.
