Padma Musical Series: Joey Alexander feat. Dira Sugandi & Full Jazz Band

The beloved Padma Musical Series, in collaboration with Blibli, welcomes the return of internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and composer Joey Alexander for a special performance on Saturday, 11 July 2026, at Padma Resort Legian. Joined by his full New York jazz quartet and celebrated Indonesian vocalist Dira Sugandi, the concert promises an intimate evening of world-class musicianship and cross-cultural collaboration.

Originally from Bali, Joey Alexander rose to global prominence at an early age, earning praise from jazz legends such as Herbie Hancock before establishing an international career in the United States. Now recognised as one of contemporary jazz’s leading young voices, the multi-Grammy Award nominee continues to evolve through acclaimed recordings including Origin and Continuance, alongside appearances on renowned platforms such as NPR’s Tiny Desk and CBS’s 60 Minutes.

This latest performance marks a significant homecoming for the pianist, offering audiences the opportunity to experience the dynamic musical language he has developed with his New York-based ensemble. The quartet features bassist Daniel Winshall, saxophonist Kuba Skowronski, and drummer Tyson D. Jackson, each bringing their own distinctive artistry shaped by international jazz traditions.

Adding another compelling dimension to the evening is special guest Dira Sugandi, one of Indonesia’s most respected vocalists, known for her powerful stage presence and collaborations with artists including David Foster and Andrea Bocelli.

Held at the Plumeria Grand Ballroom, the concert begins at 7.30 PM, with doors opening at 6 PM. Tickets start from IDR 500,000 nett per person, with limited seating available to maintain the intimate atmosphere that defines the Padma Musical Series.
