Bar Takeover: Island Scene Series at L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo

On Friday, 24 July 2026, L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo at The Apurva Kempinski Bali welcomes the latest edition of its Bar Takeover: Island Scene series, bringing together three of Indonesia’s most celebrated mixologists for an evening dedicated to sustainable cocktail culture. Coinciding with World Tequila Day, the one-night event highlights innovative mixology rooted in local ingredients, craftsmanship and Balinese flavours.

Joining Arya Dharmayasa, Bar Manager of L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo and Indonesia Regional Winner of Hennessy MyWay 2025 competition are Raka Ambarawan of Night Rooster by Locavore and Club Soda, whose pioneering use of native fruits, herbs and house-made infusions helped redefine Indonesia’s cocktail scene; Aris Sanjaya, Beverage Director of Syrco BASÈ and founder of Islander Bali, recognised internationally after becoming the first Indonesian in 15 years to reach the Top 8 at the Diageo World Class Global Finals; and Mang Arik, R&B Beverage Manager for Potato Head and Dome, whose award-winning zero-waste philosophy continues to set new standards for sustainable hospitality across the region.

Throughout the evening, guests can discover exclusive cocktails crafted by each bartender, highlighting the richness of Indonesia’s botanical diversity through modern techniques and thoughtful storytelling. Live performances by Truedy and Lisa Soul & Jazz Trio will accompany the experience from 7 PM onwards, adding to the vibrant atmosphere atop one of Bali’s most distinctive destination bars.
