Alaya Suites Ubud 1

Ubud welcomes a new boutique hospitality destination with the opening of Alaya Suites Ubud, the latest addition to the Alaya Hotels & Resorts portfolio. Located in Pengosekan, the new property brings together contemporary design, Balinese storytelling and personalised Indonesian hospitality in an intimate setting.

Designed around the “Dream of Alaya” concept, the property takes inspiration from Catus Patha, the traditional Balinese principle centred on the intersection of community, ritual and daily life. Its architecture also draws from Wayang Bali, with curved forms, natural textures and organic materials woven throughout the space. Each floor reflects one of the five natural elements: Surya (light), Bhumi (earth), Sagara (water), Jiva (living beings) and Akasha (air).

Alaya Suites Ubud - Suite King Bed 04

Alaya Suites Ubud comprises 45 spacious suites and six private villas, making it one of the few properties in central Ubud dedicated exclusively to suites and villas. Handcrafted details, locally sourced materials and Indonesian design touches feature throughout, complemented by amenities including eco-friendly slippers, handcrafted tote bags and kimonos by Indonesian lifestyle brand Pithecanthropus.

Dining takes centre stage with Carbón, which explores the bold, fire-led flavours of Mexico and Peru, while Baker Butcher Barista transitions from specialty coffee, pastries and breads by day to a steakhouse experience by evening. DaLa Spa brings Indonesian wellness traditions into the stay, complemented by a fully equipped TechnoGym fitness centre.

With its thoughtful design, intimate accommodation and strong sense of place, Alaya Suites Ubud offers travellers a considered way to experience the energy and creativity of Ubud while staying connected to the island’s cultural character.
