Oaken Lab Opens Ubud Store with Immersive Stillroom Concept

Oaken Lab unveils its newest outpost in Ubud, introducing a thoughtfully layered destination that brings together artisanal perfumery, hospitality, and community.

More than a retail space, the new Oaken Lab Ubud presents the brand’s most complete expression to date, anchored by the launch of The Oaken Stillroom – an experiential concept that translates scents into taste through a curated menu of botanical drinks and small plates.

Located along Jalan Raya Sanggingan, within Ubud’s vibrant creative corridor, the space reflects the brand’s intention to engage with its surroundings. Designed by Rantara Studio, the store balances contemporary architecture with Javanese and Balinese spatial sensibilities, preserving existing elements while introducing new material contrasts. The result is a journey through distinctive environments – from an intimate, scent-focused room to an open communal space, culminating in the Stillroom and garden.

The experience unfolds gradually, inviting visitors to slow down and engage their senses. Fragrance discovery transitions into a more social setting, where products can be explored alongside botanical cocktails, zero-proof elixirs, and ingredient-driven dishes crafted in collaboration with Elemental. The menu draws on local and seasonal produce, echoing the brand’s sensorial language across mediums.
