Padma Musical Series: Piano Quintet Odyssey – Classics to Fantasies

Padma Resort Legian returns with the next instalment of the Padma Musical Series this June. After the incredible reception opera showcase ‘Love & Misadventure”, Daniel Adipradhana and Giovani Biga make their return to Bali with an enchanting evening of classical music and inspired fantasies.

Named ‘Piano Quintet Odyssey – Classics to Fantasies’, the musical showcase will be presented in two spellbinding halves, each curated to teleport you across distinct musical worlds. The event will take place in the ballroom of Padma Resort Legian on Saturday, 21 June 2025.

Experience an extraordinary journey through iconic masterpieces and magical compositions that transcend the boundaries of classical music, including songs from cinema, cartoons, and musicals that will no doubt ring a bell with concert attendees.

The chamber ensemble on the night will feature the following prestigious talents:

● Daniel Adipradhana: Holding a Master of Performance from the Royal College of Music, London, Daniel is a distinguished collaborative pianist, arranger, and composer. He has showcased his artistic prowess across Europe, the US, and Asia, bringing a touch of elegance and depth to every performance.

● Giovani Big: A Summa Cum Laude graduate in Violin Performance, Giovani isa rising star in Indonesia’s classical scene. His career as Concertmaster with major Indonesian orchestras and his accolades in global competitions have cemented his status as one of the nation’s premier violinists.

● Bryant Gozali: A Co-Principal Cellist of the Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra and a founding member of the Jakarta Trio, Bryant is renowned for his commitment to chamber music and education. His performances span major venues across Indonesia, bringing his rich, expressive cello sound to the stage.

● Lidya Evania Lukito: Holding a Master’s degree from Rostov State Conservatory, Russia, Lidya is an Indonesian violinist whose expertise spans international borders. Having performed extensively across Southeast Asia and Europe, her artistry reflects both technical brilliance and emotive depth.

● Bravandy Wijaya: Having performed with the Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra, Jakarta Sinfonietta, and Jakarta Concert Orchestra, Bravandy is a passionate violist known for his dynamic interpretations. His involvement in international festivals and masterclasses has polished his craft, making him a vital presence in Indonesian chamber music.

Curated by Daniel Adipradhana and Giovani Biga, “Piano Quintet Odyssey – Classics to Fantasies” will be presented in two spellbinding halves, each designed to transport audiences across distinct musical worlds.

The First Session (Classical Elegance) carries the theme of “Romantic Whispers & Timeless Charms”, with a set list of 1. Schubert – Ave Maria (arr. for piano quintet), 2. Elgar – Salut d’Amour (arr. for piano quintet), 3. Dvořák – Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81, II. Dumka: Andante con moto, III. Scherzo: Furiant, and IV. Finale: Allegro

The Second Session (Cinematic Magic) is themed “A Fantasia of Film & Imagination”, with a set list of 1. Cartoon Medley (Tom & Jerry, Smurfs and more), 2. Merry-Go-Round of Life (Howl’s Moving Castle), 3. The Sound of Music Medley, 4. Beauty and the Beast, and 5. Pirates of the Caribbean.

Each selection has been carefully curated to combine the sophistication of classical masterpieces with the allure of cinematic scores, promising a truly magical experience. The first half of the evening will take audiences on a journey through timeless classical masterpieces, exuding the grandeur and elegance of the classical era, while the second half, the quintet will perform famous cinematic pieces, merging the magic of film scores with live orchestral brilliance.
