Steps of Hope: Breast Cancer Charity Walk with Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as ‘Pinktober’, a global health campaign drawing crucial attention to this life-threatening disease, promoting education and encouraging early detection. Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation invites you to join their ‘Steps of Hope’ fundraising charity walk on Saturday, 18 October 2025.

Founded in 2013 by breast cancer survivor Gaye Warren, Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation has since screened and provided treatment to thousands of women across Indonesia. Throughout the year, the foundation organises regular breast cancer awareness programs as well as breast screenings for local communities, in Bali and beyond.

‘Steps of Hope’, in collaboration with Sudamala Resort Sanur and Uma & Leopold, is the foundation’s annual fundraising event. This ‘Pink Charity Fun Walk’ brings people together for a morning walk in Sanur, fully dressed in pink, to raise awareness of breast cancer in solidarity with the foundation and other survivors.

After the walk, participants can enjoy activities and refreshments back at the resort, where free breast cancer screening is also available. As a fundraising event, the event will also have a silent auction, raffle and lucky draw, raising further crucial funding for the foundation’s ongoing efforts.

The ‘Steps of Hope’ Pink Charity Fun Walk starts at 6.30 AM until 10.30 AM, priced at IDR 200.000 per person, including a pink t-shirt to wear on the day.
