Agave spirits are finding a growing audience in Indonesia, and La Piña Tequilana, from Spice Islands Distilling Co., offers a chance to discover the character of Blue Weber Agave beyond the familiar Margarita. Distilled from 100% Blue Weber Agave in Jalisco, Mexico, the spirit brings the heritage of one of the world’s most celebrated agave-producing regions to Indonesia, where it is locally bottled.
Jalisco is widely regarded as the spiritual home of Tequila, with generations of agave growers and makers shaping its distinctive spirits tradition. La Piña Tequilana draws directly from this heritage, while taking a contemporary approach suited to Indonesia’s evolving cocktail culture.
The collection features two expressions. La Piña Blanco is bright and vibrant, with fresh citrus, warm peppery accents and gentle spice leading to a clean, silky finish. Enjoy it over ice or in refreshing cocktails, highballs, and Margarita-style serves. La Piña Reposado rests in wooden barrels, developing a richer profile that layers subtle citrus and delicate spice with soft woody notes, a silky texture, and a refined finish. Both expressions are bottled at 40% ABV in 700ml bottles.

Under Mexico’s denomination-of-origin regulations, 100% agave Tequila must be bottled by an authorised producer within the designated territory in Mexico. As La Piña is bottled in Indonesia, it is presented as Agave Tequilana – a name drawn from the botanical identity of Blue Weber Agave while recognising the spirit’s Mexican origins.
Rooted in Jalisco and bottled in Indonesia, La Piña Tequilana bridges two cultures through a spirit made for contemporary drinking. Whether enjoyed neat or in any classic tequila cocktail, it brings a fresh agave experience to Indonesia’s bars, restaurants and home gatherings.
