An impressive feat indeed from the Nusa Dua Theatre, who last month (April 2016) celebrated the 1000th showcase of their popular Devdan Show; their event was attended by 700 people, including government officials, acclaimed media and performing arts aficionados. The Devdan Show centres around two children who are lost in the jungles of Bali, where, by chance, they discover a chest that takes them through a magical journey of discovery.
Through a series of songs, dances and truly spectacular acrobatics, the children are shown the richness and diversity of Indonesia’s. From giant traditional puppets to superb illusions, coupled with mastered high-tech light and sound effects from the Nusa Dua Theatre, it is no wonder Devdan has been able to enthrall their audience for 1000 shows.
