New Faces, New Flavours: Meet the Two New Culinary Leaders at the Hyatts of Sanur

Two of Sanur’s iconic resorts, Hyatt Regency Bali and Andaz Bali, welcome new leaders set to steer future dining experiences and offerings: Ivan Gutierrez as Cluster Director of Food and Beverage, and Chef Vincenzo Gatti, now Cluster Executive Chef. 

Whilst Chef Vincenzo and Ivan are newcomers on the shores of Sanur, they are both Hyatt veterans, bringing with them years of experience in global hospitality which they have already begun to implement in their respective roles across the two properties.

Ivan Gutierrez arrives from his most recent position at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, where he served as the Director of Food and Beverage. Prior to that he held leadership roles across Asia – from Grand Hyatt Tokyo to Hyatt Regency Qingdao – working with a diverse clientele as well as portfolio of dining concepts.

As the Cluster Director of Food and Beverage, Ivan will focus on the guest experience across the two resorts’ multiple dining venues. This means delivering true hospitality, which Ivan strong believes is all about people – connecting with guests, creating meaningful experiences and memories, and ensuring that colleagues too are embodying that same spirit of hospitality. 

Chef Vincenzo Gatti also arrives from a previous position in Thailand, as the Executive Chef at Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach. There he brought Guide Michelin recognition to two of the resort’s restaurants, La Cucina Italian Restaurant and Fish Club Seafood Restaurant. But his full Hyatt careers spans a decade, leading kitchens in prestigious properties across China and South Korea. As such, Chef Vincenzo brings with him experience of a variety of cuisines, sure to be an asset in his new role as Cluster Executive Chef at Andaz Bali and Hyatt Regency Bali.

No strangers to Hyatt, hospitality, nor a popular tourism destinations like Bali, both Ivan and Chef Vincenzo have settled quickly into the rhythm of Sanur. In their respective positions, the two culinary heads will drive the food and beverage offerings across seven distinct restaurants, from Hyatt Regency’s iconic beachfront Pizzaria to the row of restaurants within Andaz Bali’s Village Square. These are already well-loved restaurants, lauded as venues that embody that warm spirit of Sanur and celebrating local flavours – no doubt returning and first-time guests will be looking forward to seeing what Ivan and Chef Vincenzo have in store!
