Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana is currently putting on a photography exhibition, “Perspectives” by UK-born photographer Michael Johnsey. Taking place at the hotel’s lobby and corridor, the exhibition was launched early last month, and is open for the public from 3 June – 2 August 2015. Michael’s love of photography began in his early teens, although it wasn’t until his 40’s that Michael studied photography formally at a London art college. There he also learned about the art of developing, processing and printing from film, something he believes, that even in this digital age, every photographer should experience. In these collections of images, Michael brings together pictures that capture the essence of life. These are pictures of ordinary people leading ordinary lives in moments of labour, rest, play, and prayer. “Perspectives” is the seventh exhibition by Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana in relation to the on-going development of art within the region. The 36 photos exhibited are also available for sale.
