A new 70-seat Fastboat to Gili Islands has been added to the fleet of BlueWater Express, called the BlueWater Express IX cementing its reputation as the leading, safest transfer service from Bali to the Gili Islands. Run from its private facility on Serangan Island to the Gilis and Lombok, the new vessel has 72 aluminium framed, ergonomically designed seats, which are both lightweight and corrosion resistant. It also utilizes sandwich core technology in the deck, further reducing weight, and has a custom made carbon-fiber fuel tank: extremely tough and also lightweight.

“This is a new design from Dirman Fiberglass” said Welly Manurip, Technical Operations Manager at BlueWater. “They have taken boat building to a whole new level in Bali. The finishing inside is excellent, with a coach-style ventilation system to provide plenty of fresh air”. The interior also comprises two good sized flat screen TV’s, spacious toilet, CCTV system and spacious roof-top sun-deck. Powered by six 250hp Honda engines, BlueWater Express IX can easily exceed 30 knots, and cruises comfortably at 25-30 knots, meaning the run from South Bali to the Gilis is a little over two hours, depending on the weather. BlueWater currently has one daily departure to and from Serangan in south Bali, and two daily departures to and from Padang Bai.
