The Bali Rainbow Community is going to host another fun fundraising event called “Summer Rainbow Charity Night”, which falls on Saturday, 2nd July 2016, and it will start at 7pm.

For those of you who are unaware of Bali Rainbow Community (BRC), it is a non-profit organization of LGBT-owned businesses and individuals committed to assist HIV & AIDS awareness, education and financial support for positive patients in need, within the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) community in Bali.

This is not the first fundraising event for BRC. Since 2011, they have donated their funds to assist the following NGOs to continue with their outreach works and medical treatments :  Yayasan Dua Hati, Yayasan Gaya Dewata , Yayasan Bali Peduli and Yayasan Kerti Praja. Financial support of IDR 528,325,000 has been provided to these agencies to continue their work programmes such as direct client medical/hospital/living expenses, incentives and administration expenses for Condoman , HIV / AIDS awareness programmess, the “Test & Treat ” program, and their new project, funding for the initial 2 years of Bali’s first transgender shelter house for HIV positive transgenders.

This special event sees collaboration for the first time with Denpasar High School students,  bringing HIV/AIDS awareness campaign efforts to the students in high schools in Bali. It will showcase performers such as Bali’s All Stars DJs, fabulous drag queen performances by Bali’s leading gay clubs. A silent auction from sponsors of prominent distinguished and famous hotels, restaurants and businesses will also be conducted to help raise much needed funds.
